PyChipIO - a multi-platform pure Python IoT Server library

The poster session will give an introduction to the implementation concepts and internal structure of PyChipIO. It is a refactored successor of the former WebIOPi Python library for the Raspberry Pi. It is based on Python 3.4 + and runs on all platforms that run Python 3.4 +. The library implements access on hardware level via SPI, I2C and UART with pure Python code. The poster session will also show some concrete demo examples how to run the IoT server and what it can provide as IoT services. The demo example hardware will be a PC, a Raspberry Pi and a Harting MICA to demonstrate the portability of the whole library. The sensor and actuator chip example will be the model of a laser machine. Parts of that hardware and software have been shown already at the Daimler booth at PyCon.De 2017. The poster session will be a further enhanced version of the 2017 solution and provide the latest release and more details about the whole Python solution.

This session was classified suitable for some domain / professional python by the speaker.
